Rhiannon is currently completing her 1st year of the Masters in Performance course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, studying Bassoon with David Hubbard and Contrabassoon with Simon Davies. Next year she will return to RCS for her final term, after studying a term abroad on the Erasmus programme.

She has worked professionally with leading orchestras in Scotland such as Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and has recently returned from the RSNO European Tour 2018.

Rhiannon is currently on trial for the vacant position of Principal Contrabassoon in the RSNO.

In August, Rhiannon will be performing as concerto soloist for the Edinburgh Youth Orchestra Summer Course where she is looking forward to playing the Weber Concerto with an orchestra she used to play in regularly in her youth.

Rhiannon is a founding member of Genovia Bassoon Quartet, an all female ensemble based in Glasgow. They are artists on Live Music Now Scotland and are looking forward to performing at the International Double Reed Society Conference in Granada, Spain, in August this year. Arranging most of their own repertoire, they perform a huge range of genres from classical, jazz, blues etc providing something for everyone in their concerts and trying to raise the profile of the bassoon!
